SKI BREAKS IN PARADISE.

Oetz: winter sports for the entire family.

Let’s take a trip into winter wonderland. The lift takes you from the bottom of the valley to Hochoetz at 2,000 metres above sea level. Breathe in the fresh mountain air and take in clear views of the surrounding mountain tops. Perfect your turns in glistening white snow, and do it all over again. If you just can’t get enough, your ski pass is also valid for the Kühtai ski area. Jump on the shuttle bus and let the fun continue. What luck that winter lasts until deep into spring up at this height!

SLOPES IN FRONT OF YOUR DOOR

Only a few footsteps from your holiday home you can find the bottom of the Acherkogel lift station. This is your entry to one of the sunniest ski areas in Austria. The Hochötz ski resort has on average 64 days of sunshine every season. The Austrian average for this time of year is 54 sunny days.
Combined with the Kühtai ski area, Hochötz gives you 85 kilometres of perfectly groomed piste and 25 slopes for limitless skiing fun in guaranteed snow.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING, SKATING, BIATHLON IN NIEDERTHAI

Niederthai has long been an insider tip among Nordic skiing fans. The tracks in this region have even been awarded the coveted Tyrolean quality seal for cross-country skiing tracks. It is a certification that testifies to the highest quality and best conditions. Altogether 31 kilometres of track and routes are available for all those new to the Nordic sport. Whether you prefer the in-track classic technique or are a passionate skate-skier, cross-country skiing in Niederthai is for everyone, catering to all tastes and skill levels.

A CHILDREN´S PARADISE.

Hochoetz is considered the most family-friendly ski area in the whole valley. It has a fun park, a kids-friendly restaurant, as well as a ski school for your little ones.

STOPS DURING OR AFTER SKIING.

Soak up the sun and treat yourself to a tasty traditional Kaiserschmarrn at one of the rustic mountain huts in the region. This is the life!

Do you need some more practice to feel confident on one or two planks? Our experienced ski and snowboard instructors in Oetz guide you from your first turn on the slopes to the perfect technique, regardless your age. The appropriate rental equipment can be found in the valley.

SNOWSHOE HIKING IN OCHSENGARTEN

Immerse yourself in winter’s magic as you wander through the snowy landscapes of Ochsengarten at your own pace. This place provides wonderful opportunities to explore nature by snowshoe. Ask for more information at the tourist office in Ötz and for details about guided moonlight trips. It is a highlight not to be missed!

TOBOGGANING AT THE FELDRINGALM

This location high up in the Ötztal mountains guarantees top tobogganing conditions throughout the winter season. Speed down from the much-loved Feldring mountain hut, through picturesque woods, until you reach the parking area at the “Sattele” close to Ochsengarten. The low gradient makes this run one of the easier ones, with the ascent of 45 minutes also being easy to master for families with kids. The Feldringalm at the top of the run is worth a visit on its own, rewarding you with superb panoramas and pulling you in with delicious food.
